BRAVO! Entertainment is proud to have on our staff, three Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) designees. The CSEP designation is the hallmark of professional achievement in the special events industry. It is earned through education, performance, experience, and service to the industry, and reflects our commitment to professional conduct and ethics.
Debbie Meyers produced her first event (a fund raiser) at age 12 creating an amusement park out of cardboard moving boxes and donating the proceeds to the Red Cross. From there it seems she was destined to be in the special event and entertainment industry! Now she is recognized as a leader in the entertainment production field. Debbie founded BRAVO! Entertainment in 1994. Since then her work has consistently has received accolades from industry institutions and organizations worldwide. Earning her Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) status in 1999 Debbie is proud to be the first CSEP in the entertainment industry in Texas. BRAVO!’s client list reads like a who’s who of the corporate world. In fact, BRAVO! Entertainment is proud to have produced shows all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Brazil, Europe, Russia, China, Indonesia and Japan. BRAVO! Entertainment continues to be recognized annually for excellence in entertainment productions and is the NUMBER ONE award winning Entertainment Production Company in North America. Dave got the special event bug after volunteering for the LA Marathon setting up the race’s midpoint Mardi Gras event. By the end of the day he was driving the truck as the newest employee of John Daly Inc. International! Dave mentored under the tutelage of this great industry icon for 7 years before joining the team at the acclaimed Santa Barbara Four Seasons Biltmore Resort. In 1999 Dave discovered the great state of Texas and got there as soon as he could, though not a native, most who know him will say Dave is a naturalized Texan through and through! Ever since Dave entered the special event industry he has been involved in educational development in the industry. Dave was not only president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the International Special Event Society he was also President of the Dallas Chapter. This makes Dave one of the few people to have served in 2 chapters in this role. His leadership skills further benefited the industry as he has been instrumental in developing the LA-La Awards and the Texas Star Awards both continue to this day honoring excellence in the industry in Los Angeles and throughout Texas. Dave joined BRAVO! Entertainment in 2006 as creative director and is instrumental in the development and execution of BRAVO!’s award winning entertainment productions! Dave is currently a member of the Society of Talent and Entertainment Professionals of Texas (STEP) a Past President of the International Special Event Society (ISES) Dallas Chapter, a member of the Dallas Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, he is also involved with the Dallas Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and a member of the International Association of Corporate Entertainment Professionals (IACEP).
Passion. That is the one word that sums up all that is Janelle Plummer! ! As Director of Sales & Social Networking and South Texas Area Representative, Janelle brings almost 20 years of event experience to the BRAVO! Team. Janelle is a power house of knowledge and creativity. It all started in 1992 when Janelle was working for a BBQ Restaurant and was asked to develop their catering business… this is where Janelle’s love affair with events began. Since then she has literally worked in all disciplines of the events industry from catering to décor to entertainment. Janelle takes great pride in planning, developing and maintaining relationships with clients. She is a people person, friendly, funny, and is an avid social networker. Janelle’s dedication to her work shows in her creative and conceptual follow through as well as her attention to detail. Janelle has a unique understanding of events, is confident and believes that you are only as good as your last event. It doesn’t matter how big or small … every client’s vision is important. She can literally transform a parking lot in to paradise! While Janelle is hopelessly devoted to the industry and supports all organizations she also cherishes her family and network of friends. Winner of ISES San Antonio Hall of Fame Award and the Winner of NACE Affiliate of the year, Janelle is a Past President of the International Special Event Society (ISES) San Antonio Chapter and a Past Board Member of the Society of Talent and Entertainment Professionals of Texas (STEP) and is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) BRAVO!
